Role Overview:

Ekiva is looking for a Telecom Software Engineer to develop backend services, APIs and software components supporting 5G network automation, orchestration, service assurance and network intelligence platforms.

The successful candidate will combine software engineering expertise with an understanding of telecom networks and communication technologies.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

• Develop backend applications supporting telecom automation platforms.
• Design and develop scalable microservices.
• Build APIs integrating with:
  • RAN systems
  • Core Network functions
  • Network controllers
  • Management platforms
  • Enterprise applications
• Develop software components for:
  • Network provisioning
  • Service orchestration
  • Network monitoring
  • Performance analytics
  • Automation workflows
• Process telecom network data including:
  • Network KPIs
  • Performance counters
  • Fault events
  • Telemetry data
• Support integration with:
  • AI/ML platforms
  • Edge computing systems
  • Industrial applications
• Perform software testing, troubleshooting and optimisation.
• Collaborate with:
  • Telecom architects
  • Network engineers
  • DevOps teams
• Support technical demonstrations and solution discussions.
• Prepare technical documentation.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years software engineering experience with telecom/network exposure.
• Strong programming experience in:
  • Python
  • Java
  • Go
  • C++
• Experience with:
  • REST APIs
  • gRPC
  • Microservices architecture
  • Databases
  • Event-driven architectures
  • Cloud-native applications
• Knowledge of:
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Linux environments
• Telecom knowledge:
  • 4G/5G architecture
  • Private 5G networks
  • Open RAN concepts
  • Network automation
  • Telecom APIs
  • OSS/BSS concepts
• Preferred experience:
  • Network telemetry
  • Kafka
  • MQTT
  • Real-time data processing
  • Industrial connectivity platforms
• Ability to work with telecom customers and technology partners.
• Understand customer requirements and translate them into software solutions.
• Must have the right to work in the UK, as we are unable to sponsor visa applications.

• Full-time on site in Egham, ability to commute.
